Nepal electricity authority (nea) has appealed the general public to not use energy intensive equipment during morning and evening peak hours.. With the revised load shedding schedule, there will be 48.5 hours of power cut per week with adjusted timetable for the power cut in the morning and evening in view of public convenience.. Electricity in nepal is 220-240 volts and 50 mhz. as opposed to 110-120 volts electricity in usa and canada. mostly, they use electric plug of two or three round prongs. it is not a flat prong as in america and most of other western countries. it would be safe to use a voltage converter if your electronic devices use 110 volt electricity..
